A completely unselfconscious portrait. People are totally unaware that they are being observed. And the more we look, the more we see not just the beautiful symmetry of the human body from this point of view but also the details of this person’s life; hats, bags they carry, phones they are plugged into, yoga mats, newspapers…

While looking out of my eighth floor window from my studio at the SVA summer residency, I started taking pictures of the crazy diversity of the population walking down just one street in Manhattan.
